GRIMARQ Founder
Leonardo Castillo
I’m Leonardo Castillo, a technical architect with an international background in architecture and construction.
I was born in Venezuela and grew up in New York, where I developed a passion for design and creating spaces from a young age.
I started working in the construction industry at 18, and by 23 I had founded my first company, putting everything I had learned into real projects.
Professional Experience
To strengthen my professional profile, I studied Technical Architecture at VIA University College in Denmark, a stage that allowed me to combine hands-on experience with a solid academic foundation. After completing my studies in 2011, I returned to Venezuela and joined the Technical Department of CORPOELEC, where I took part in large-scale civil engineering projects. In 2016, I moved to Barcelona, where I specialized in managing full renovation projects.
A Globally-Driven Career
Throughout my career, I’ve gained experience across different areas of the construction and design industry. Since 2016, I’ve been involved in managing full renovation projects in Barcelona, and later took part in international hotel projects for the CATALONIA chain. More recently, in the Valencian Community, I worked in architecture and project development for COMPAC, a global leader in the decorative surfaces sector.

GRIMARQ was born with that mission in mind: applying everything I’ve learned, working closely with each client, and paying attention to every detail from the design phase to final delivery. And so, after more than 20 years dedicated to full renovations, I now focus my work in the Marina Alta and surrounding areas alongside GRIMARQ. A company built by a team that deeply understands the styles, regulations, and unique characteristics of each area —allowing us to provide more precise, tailored solutions for every client.
